Your morning routine should be important because it sets the tone for the rest of your day. One of the best things I’ve done, not only for my mental health but also my productivity, is establish a good morning routine that works for me.
When you are working from home, it is important to have a set morning routine
These are the things I think everyone should include in their morning routine.
Like your mother told you to every day growing up! I don’t know about you, but my day cannot start until I make my bed. I enjoy having a clean space and having a messy bed isn’t it. I like having my bed done as well, because then i don’t want to get back into bed as it has already been made.
This is favourite part of my morning routine! I don’t really like coffee so i like to start the day with a cuppa. It’s nice to start slow in the morning and take the time to make a hot drink and sit and enjoy it before the work day begins.
Whilst i am having my cup of tea, i like to eat breakfast. A healthy breakfast such as porridge can help your morning and boost your energy levels. It can get you ready to start the day. I really enjoy eating breakfast as it makes me feel less hungry.
Write a to do list of what you have to do and what you are hoping to achieve by the end of the day. This can help you achieve your goals and not get side tracked with other tasks. You could do tasks hourly and see how you are getting on. Being able to tick it off as completed makes me feel so much better.
we’re all staying home a little more it’s sometimes tempting to stay in pajamas all day. I’m a firm believer that you’ll be more productive if you’re dressed in normal clothes and not loungewear. You wouldn’t go to your office in your pj’s or loungewear so treat the day like you are getting ready for the office.
